Cathcart Technology is partnering with a well-established insurance company. They are seeking an experienced Manager – Core Insurance Implementation to lead the implementation and long-term support of core motor insurance platforms.
You will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of Core Motor Insurance Systems, Pricing Engines, Incentive Systems, and Agent Support Solutions, while building a strong internal team to support post-go-live operations.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will work closely with Business Units, Project Managers, development teams, and external vendors to deliver new core motor insurance platforms. You will be actively involved in solution design reviews and will ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture standards, particularly regarding tools and technology stacks.
You will be responsible for building and leading a best-in-class delivery and support team, including Solution Architects, QA, Application Support, and Developers, to ensure long-term system stability and enhancement. The role also involves establishing robust operational processes, procedures, and work instructions in line with global SDLC standards, with a strong focus on security and quality.
In addition, you will develop and maintain technical documentation, define and manage SLAs with business users, and ensure high-level IT service support across all implemented systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in implementing and maintaining Core Motor Insurance systems and related platforms
- Strong understanding of system integration technologies
- Proven experience managing large-scale and complex IT projects
- Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business users
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality outcomes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good command of English (speaking, reading, and writing)
- Strong ability to see the big picture when designing and delivering IT solutions
- Solid domain knowledge in Motor Insurance
