Cathcart Technology is supporting an international technology company looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to take ownership of client-driven software projects and feature delivery.

This role will suit someone with a strong background in IT project management, product delivery, or business analysis, who is comfortable working across clients, commercial teams, developers, operations, and senior stakeholders.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage software features and project requirements from initial request through development and production release.
  • Work closely with client-facing and internal teams to clarify business needs, scope, priorities, and expected outcomes.
  • Translate requirements into clear development tasks, including user flows, acceptance criteria, supporting diagrams, and relevant documentation.
  • Coordinate effort estimation, delivery timelines, dependencies, priorities, and project risks across multiple initiatives.
  • Track project progress and proactively manage delays, blockers, risks, and changes to committed delivery plans.
  • Coordinate release activities with development and operations teams and support successful production deployments.
  • Maintain project roadmaps, documentation, status updates, and delivery reports for stakeholders.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, Account Managers, technical teams, and management to ensure expectations remain aligned.
  • Support project demonstrations and management presentations by clearly communicating progress, delivered features, and upcoming priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes and ways of working based on client and project needs.
  • Maintain accurate project and activity tracking using tools such as Jira and other project management platforms.

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management, Product Management / Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or a related delivery role.
  • Experience managing software development or technology projects in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong understanding of requirements gathering, prioritisation, delivery planning, and stakeholder management.
  • Comfortable coordinating across technical, business, commercial, and operational teams.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining clear project documentation and delivery visibility.
  • Experience identifying project risks, resolving blockers, and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a structured approach to decision-making.
  • Previous experience in team leadership or coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Jira or similar Agile/project management tools.
  • Certifications such as PMP, Scrum, Business Analysis, or Product Owner would be advantageous.
