About the Role & Opportunity Cathcart Technology is partnering with a well-established organisation in Thailand that is growing its AI capability and looking for a Senior AI Specialist to turn business challenges into working AI solutions. Sitting within a central AI and data team, this role works closely with business users to identify where AI can create real value across sales and customer-facing operations. You will take ideas from first conversation to working Proof of Concept, then hand them over to engineers for production. This is a hands-on, business-facing role for someone who enjoys building and solving business problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Running discovery sessions with business users and Product Owners to identify and define high-value AI use cases
- Assessing each use case for data readiness, risk, effort and expected value, including recognising when a non-AI solution is the better choice
- Building rapid Proofs of Concept using LLMs, RAG, chatbots and agentic workflows to validate ideas with real users and data
- Developing evaluation methods and quality benchmarks covering accuracy, groundedness, safety, latency and cost
- Writing clear, testable specifications and acceptance criteria as the handover to AI Engineers
- Recommending model and architecture options, balancing performance, cost, security and vendor lock-in
- Embedding security, privacy and responsible-AI practices into every solution
- Tracking token and API costs from POC onward and recommending optimisations
- Creating reusable assets such as prompt templates, evaluation datasets and playbooks to grow the team's AI capability
Key Qualifications
- Solid hands-on experience building GenAI and LLM applications, with a track record of POCs delivered with business users
- Strong Python skills for prototyping, data handling and API integration
- Practical experience with RAG (embeddings, vector databases, retrieval tuning) and frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph
- Experience building chatbots and AI agents, including tool or function calling and human-in-the-loop controls
- Ability to design evaluations for LLM systems and use the results to make go/no-go decisions
- Confident communicating AI options and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of AI security and responsible AI, including prompt injection, data privacy and PII handling
- Experience with NLP, voice or speech AI is a strong advantage
- Exposure to cloud AI platforms (GCP, AWS or Azure), MCP or coding agents such as Claude Code or Cursor is a plus
