Cathcart Technology is working with a large organisation undergoing significant digital and business transformation. They are looking for an experienced AI Strategy & Transformation Lead to help shape and coordinate enterprise-wide AI initiatives, ensuring investment in AI is aligned with business priorities and delivers measurable outcomes.
This position will work closely with senior leadership, business functions, transformation teams, and technology stakeholders to provide visibility across AI programmes and support the organisation in moving AI initiatives from strategy into practical adoption.
Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee the organisation’s portfolio of AI initiatives and provide clear visibility on progress, priorities, business impact, and potential risks.
- Develop executive-level reporting and insights to support senior management decision-making around AI investments and transformation priorities.
- Establish a structured approach for evaluating the commercial and operational value delivered by AI projects.
- Track business outcomes across areas such as efficiency, cost optimisation, revenue opportunities, and risk reduction.
- Work with business leaders to identify and prioritise AI opportunities that align with strategic objectives.
- Support the adoption of both internally developed and third-party AI solutions across different business functions.
- Partner with technology, data, security, architecture, and transformation teams to ensure proposed AI initiatives are practical, scalable, and appropriately governed.
- Coordinate stakeholders across multiple departments and programmes to maintain alignment and reduce duplication of AI efforts.
- Translate senior leadership priorities into actionable AI and transformation initiatives for business teams.
- Promote sustainable adoption by helping departments integrate AI into existing processes and ways of working.
Skills and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications would be advantageous.
- Around 10+ years of experience across areas such as business transformation, digital strategy, management consulting, strategic programmes, or enterprise change.
- Strong experience managing complex initiatives involving multiple business and technology stakeholders.
- Proven ability to turn large amounts of programme information into concise, senior-management-level reporting and recommendations.
- Experience establishing business cases, benefits tracking, ROI models, or other approaches for measuring programme value.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to work with senior executives, business leaders, and technical specialists.
- Good understanding of enterprise AI, common AI applications, implementation considerations, and the overall lifecycle of AI initiatives.
- Strong business and transformation mindset; hands-on AI development experience is not required.
- Ability to translate strategic direction into practical actions across different teams and business functions.
- Good communication, facilitation, analytical, and organisational skills.
Experience in digital transformation, AI governance, data, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, or technology risk would be advantageous. Exposure to large or multinational organisations and working with internal technology teams, external vendors, or consulting partners would also be beneficial.
