Cathcart Technology is working with a technology-driven organisation that is expanding its Data Science capability in Bangkok. They are looking for an experienced Lead Data Scientist to develop production-ready machine learning solutions, work with complex datasets, and help deliver data-driven products and business improvements at scale.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models for business and product applications.
- Analyse large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
- Work closely with Software Engineering, Product, and business teams to turn business challenges into practical Data Science solutions.
- Improve existing models, algorithms, and analytical approaches to enhance performance and business outcomes.
- Explore and evaluate new Machine Learning and Data Science techniques that could be applied to real-world use cases.
- Support the development of scalable and reliable Data Science solutions from experimentation through to production.
- Provide technical guidance and contribute to best practices across the Data Science team.
Skills and Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related area.
- Strong understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Statistics, and predictive modelling.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Experience working with large datasets and modern data processing technologies.
- Practical experience with Machine Learning libraries, frameworks, and open-source technologies.
- Exposure to areas such as NLP, Computer Vision, Recommendation Systems, or Personalisation would be beneficial.
- Experience working with distributed data processing or Big Data environments would be advantageous.
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research, or another quantitative discipline is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Able to work independently, take ownership, and contribute as a senior member of a collaborative Data Science team.
