Cathcart Technology is partnering with a Bangkok-based technology company building a real-time enterprise platform. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of the production infrastructure.

This is a hands-on, senior-level role with architect scope. You will own a cloud-native AWS environment built on Terraform and Kubernetes, and play a part in operating and hardening the event-streaming backbone. A great opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants to take ownership of a modern, event-driven technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing AWS Cloud services across multiple accounts and regions
  • Operating and hardening Kubernetes (AWS EKS), owning the cluster lifecycle management
  • Running the event and change-data-capture backbone — managed Kafka, CDC connectors on PostgreSQL logical replication, stream processing, and event-driven workload autoscaling
  • Maintaining the core data tier, including PostgreSQL (HA, replication, backup/restore, tuning) and a self-managed OLAP analytics cluster
  • Building and maintaining a self-hosted observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki and related tooling) driven by SLOs and actionable alerting
  • Enforcing DevSecOps practices — infrastructure scanning, secrets management, PKI, and encryption throughout — alongside CI/CD pipeline operations
  • Applying IaC-first change-management process covering gated production releases, and runbooks
  • Participating in an on-call rotation and mentoring mid-level engineers

What we're looking for

  • Strong AWS EKS / Kubernetes experience, including autoscaling, upgrades, and cluster lifecycle
  • Multi-region AWS and disaster-recovery experience
  • Experience operating Apache Kafka in production, including change-data-capture such as Debezium on PostgreSQL logical replication
  • Skills in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Terraform
  • Familiar with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki
  • Production PostgreSQL experience (HA, read replicas, backup/restore, performance tuning)
  • Secrets management, KMS, and security scanning within a DevSecOps approach
  • Strong scripting and automation (Bash plus Python or Go) and CI/CD pipeline experience
