About the Company & Opportunity

Cathcart Technology is partnering with an international technology consultancy delivering enterprise AI and data solutions across multiple regions.

In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable AI/ML architectures, bridging data and business needs. You will work across multiple projects and teams in an international environment, shaping how AI solutions are built and delivered for clients. This is a hands-on leadership position — you will drive architectural decisions, ensure consistency across projects, and mentor engineers and architects while remaining closely involved in solution design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end architecture of complex AI and machine learning solutions across a range of client projects
  • Provide cross-team architectural leadership, aligning technical direction and ensuring consistency
  • Design scalable, maintainable system architectures that integrate data, models, and infrastructure
  • Establish and promote the design principles, frameworks, and ways of working used across engagements
  • Translate client business challenges into practical, well-engineered technical solutions
  • Advise on the right tooling, frameworks, and cloud platforms for each solution
  • Mentor team members, supporting professional development across project teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in AI/ML solution design, software architecture, or a related leadership role
  • Strong cross-functional expertise in system design across modelling, data infrastructure, scalability, and deployment
  • Solid knowledge of cloud platforms and their ML tooling (Azure/AWS exposure advantageous)
  • Hands-on experience designing and delivering end-to-end ML/AI solutions, including AI agents, LLMs, and traditional ML systems using modern agentic and LLM frameworks
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical execution with long-term architectural vision
  • Experience setting technical standards and practices across teams
  • Strong client-facing experience — managing expectations, leading technical discussions, and aligning solutions with business goals
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide engineers at various levels
  • Strong English communication skills
