Cathcart Technology is partnering with a global technology organisation that delivers enterprise-grade platforms across financial services and healthcare sectors, the business supports mission-critical systems and continues to invest in the resilience, security, and performance of its infrastructure environment.
This is an opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team focused on building, maintaining, and improving infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments, playing a key role in keeping critical systems running at the highest levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage infrastructure systems to maintain optimal availability and performance across the environment
- Design and implement cloud-based services (Azure) alongside on-premise infrastructure
- Deploy and maintain virtualisation platforms including VMware and storage infrastructure
- Manage and maintain network, firewall, load balancer, and remote access solutions across multiple technologies
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and processes using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell
- Support and manage Kubernetes (AKS) environments
- Implement and oversee security tooling such as intrusion detection, authentication systems, and log management systems
- Apply system hardening practices in line with NIST frameworks
- Maintain and support Windows and Linux environments
- Contribute to data centre operations & managements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering roles covering cloud, networking, and systems
- Experience with Azure cloud services and on-premise infrastructure management
- Exposure to virtualisation technologies such as VMware
- Skills in networking including firewalls, and load balancers
- Familiar with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) & CI/CD pipeline management
- Knowledge of Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms
- Understanding of security best practices, system hardening, and security tooling management
- Experience in Windows and Linux environments
- Good communication skills in English
