Cathcart Technology is partnering with a forward-thinking tech-driven enterprise to find a Junior-Senior Data Engineer who’s passionate about building scalable systems, enabling smarter decision-making, and shaping the future of data infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and system integrations that handle high data volume and complexity.
  • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to build robust data models that power business intelligence and reporting.
  • Implement and monitor data validation processes to ensure production-level accuracy and availability.
  • Write clean, well-documented code and develop automated testing for data pipelines.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot data issues, proposing scalable and sustainable solutions.
  • Support data architecture initiatives and contribute to the overall strategy of the company’s data platform.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to deliver meaningful data products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise-level data integrations.
  • Strong SQL skills (queries, stored procedures, triggers).
  • Expertise in Oracle and Microsoft Azure databases.
  • Experience with database design and management.
  • High standards for data quality management.
  • Experience in business and technical requirements analysis, data mapping, and process modelling.
  • Strong understanding of database structures, principles, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with database installation, configuration, and support (Oracle, Microsoft Azure).
  • Knowledge of system/software quality assurance and database tuning.
  • English communication and working with an international vendor team
  • Ability to supervise and guide junior members (for senior-level roles).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
