Cathcart Technology is partnering with a fast-growing AI-driven tech company in Bangkok to hire a Security Engineer to help strengthen the security posture of their cloud infrastructure, containerised platforms, and engineering workflows.

You'll work closely with the DevOps, engineering, and product teams to build practical, effective security controls across cloud (AWS) and containerised environments, while supporting secure software delivery practices and compliance readiness. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving real security problems inside a fast-moving engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain security controls across AWS infrastructure, including network segmentation, access control, secrets management, and hardening baselines
  • Strengthen the security posture of Kubernetes and containerised workloads, including image scanning, runtime protections, and cluster hardening
  • Build and maintain security gates within CI/CD pipelines — SAST, dependency scanning, container scanning
  • Manage vulnerability assessment programs and coordinate remediation across infrastructure, container, and platform layers
  • Support internal penetration testing and security validation activities
  • Implement and maintain security monitoring, logging, and alerting (SIEM) across cloud and production environments
  • Automate infrastructure security using Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Support compliance initiatives and translate requirements into technical implementation and evidence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience in security engineering, DevSecOps, or cloud/infrastructure security
  • Solid working knowledge of AWS security fundamentals (IAM, VPC, EKS, security groups)
  • Experience with containerisation and Kubernetes in a production environment
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating security tooling into deployment workflows
  • Comfortable scripting in Bash or Python to automate security workflows
  • A background in DevOps or software engineering experience is a strong plus
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to SIEM tooling, vulnerability scanning platforms, or internal pentesting
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001
