Cathcart Technology Reveals the Growing Role of D&I in Tech Recruitment

Cathcart Technology’s latest hiring insights reveal a critical shift in the IT sector. Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) is no longer seen as optional, it is essential. According to our recent survey, 77.67% of companies rated D&I as either ‘Very Important’ or ‘Very Very Important’ to their hiring strategy. This underscores a growing awareness that diverse teams fuel innovation, sharpen problem-solving, and improve overall performance.

However, a commitment to D&I goes beyond intent. It requires active promotion. While 60.69% of organisations report integrating D&I into their workplace or hiring process, 22.90% remain uncertain about their company’s approach, and 16.41% admit they do not currently promote it.

The data signals progress but also reveals a clear opportunity. For companies hoping to attract top tech talent, inclusive hiring practices are no longer a competitive advantage, they are a necessity. In today’s market, candidates are drawn to workplaces that champion fairness, representation, and transparency.

At Cathcart Technology, we help organisations embed these values into their recruitment strategies. Promoting D&I is a strategic long-term investment in building stronger, more resilient tech teams.
