Cathcart Technology is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company to recruit an experienced IT Capacity & Production Planning Manager.

This is a key leadership role responsible for driving digital planning solutions across manufacturing operations, ensuring production efficiency, system integration, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Role & Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the design of IT solutions supporting production and capacity planning functions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing planning-related systems such as APS, MES, and other manufacturing applications
  • Managing system enhancement and implementation projects, including scope, budget, resources, and timeline
  • Leading and developing a team supporting capacity and production planning systems
  • Driving integration between planning systems and other business platforms
  • Ensuring operational stability through structured incident, change, and problem management processes
  • Supporting compliance with internal controls and industry standards
  • Partnering closely with production, supply chain, engineering, and business stakeholders to align technology with manufacturing objectives
  • Driving KPI performance and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing planning environments (MRP, CRP, production scheduling, shop floor operations)
  • Proven experience managing APS / MES or similar planning systems
  • Background in IT project management and system implementation within manufacturing
  • Experience leading and developing a technical or functional team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing is a plus
  • Good command of English
