This year’s salary guide goes beyond just IT Recruitment. We’ve also launched a sustainability initiative called ‘One Hire, One Tree’ to give our clients and candidates a chance to help make the world greener.

It seems like it was only a short time ago that we released our 2023 edition, but time and technology seem to move as fast as each other. Artificial Intelligence (AI) was the focal point last year but this year we chose to shift our focus to the theme of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) which we find are increasingly important for our clients, especially when it comes to strategic planning.

Companies are increasingly focusing on environmental sustainability as well as social responsibility and robust governance practices. This shift is driven by increasing awareness among consumers and investors who prioritize companies that demonstrate ethical practices, transparency, and a commitment to positive social impact.

At Cathcart Technology, we too are also doing our small part by partnering with “Care The Wild” whereby we will plant one tree for every candidate for whom we successfully find a new job. We are also excited to start our own scholarship at Kasetsart University where we will help fund a student through their degree in technology. We hope that this is the start of a much larger contribution that we can make to Thailand’s environment and society.

It’s impossible not to mention again, however, the relentless march of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Over the last year, there have been numerous breakthroughs in Machine Learning and advancements in natural language processing and robotics, and AI continues to redefine possibilities across diverse sectors. However, concerns are growing over the ethical developments of AI, with the AI Global Forum in Seoul aiming to shed more light on how to navigate the best way forward on a global scale.

Cyber security concerns continue to also be an area that requires a great deal of attention from every organisation. The proliferation of remote work and digitalization have heightened vulnerabilities, making cyber security a paramount priority for organizations worldwide. Threats are constantly evolving, so huge investment is needed to create robust cyber security solutions to safeguard networks, data, and critical infrastructure.
